Missouri Student Support Services Inventory

Academic Advising – Individual advising to help students develop educational goals and formulate academic plans to achieve these goals

Career Services – Assistance with finding on-campus and off-campus jobs, internships, resume assistance, post-graduation career and employment assistance

Counseling Services – Individual mental health counseling, group workshops, crisis intervention, mediation, and referrals to off-campus services

Disability/Access Services – Support services for students with disabilities including test accommodations, note-taker or interpreter services, general support and advocacy

Emergency Funding – Small, one-time institutional grants or loans are available for students with high financial need to cover some education-related costs

Health and Wellness Services – On-campus health center, fitness center, or events and activities designed to promote physical and mental health

Mentoring – Peer or faculty mentors guide and support students as they transition into a new academic environment

Military and Veteran Services – Academic and personal support services for students who are active service members, veterans or families of service members

Minority Support Services – Organizations, workshops and mentoring support for students from underrepresented populations including racial/ethnic minorities, women, and LGBTQ individuals

Transfer Student Services – Academic and personal support for students transferring into the institution or transferring to another institution

TRIO – Academic resources and support to students who are low-income, first-generation college students, or who have a disability. Services include advising, tutoring, mentoring, and workshops

Tutoring – Individual tutoring and group study sessions designed to help students achieve academic success

Virtual Support Services – Online support services, including academic advising, tutoring, and writing assistance

Writing Center – Support for students who need assistance brainstorming, drafting, editing or fine-tuning academic papers
